The aim of the camp is to expose children to the world of technology, engineering and robotics. Over the course of the week they will take part in several different activities designed to teach the fundamentals of these topics in a fun and interesting way. These include:
- Lego racers challenge
- Tower challenge
- Hill climb robot challenge
- And many more!
Children will work in small groups of two or three under supervision, with a LEGO Education kit and a laptop for the robotics kits. A different topic will be introduced each day and a competition element will be present throughout the week.
PLACES ARE TAKEN ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS
The Junior Builders Camps for 6-9 year olds is a great way to introduce your child to the amazing world of technology and robotics! Children will work in small groups with LEGO Education kits and everyone is guaranteed a “hands on” experience. Tasks will be based on various robotic competitions and challenges. All of our tutors come from a teaching/engineering/IT background and many are experienced international winners and judges of the FIRST LEGO League robotics competition. Numbers are limited to ensure an exciting, interactive and educational experience for all.
Please note: Children must be signed in and out of camp each day by their caregiver, and it is important that children arrive on time and are collected no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled end time of the camp.
Insurance & Child Protection
Our insurance providers are Kidd Insurances, Dublin. We have full public liability and employers liability cover for the duration of the camps.
All of our tutors have Garda vetting and have completed child protection training. The company Child Protection Policy is available on request.
